Counselling
Caroline Bennett
Meet Caroline Bennett
Hello, I am an integrative counsellor working in-person from Horsham or across the UK online or by telephone.
There are all sorts of reasons why you might seek counselling, and whatever your needs are, what's important is that you find someone you feel comfortable to work with. The therapeutic relationship between client and counsellor provides a foundation for the trust and safety needed to open up and explore your concerns, and is a key driver of the change, healing and growth that can take place through counselling. I build this relationship through active listening, empathy, being non-judgemental, trustworthy and genuinely present when we work together.
I trained as an integrative counsellor which means that I will adjust how I work to meet your individual and unique needs, and as your needs change over time, my approach will too. I am on an a register accredited by the Professional Standards Authority and a member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society, the NCPS. I work to the NCPS professional guidelines and principles to ensure ethical, safe and effective practice.

Working online or by telephone can help make counselling more accessible and for some, less daunting. My in-person practice takes place in a lovely private consulting room in Horsham town centre close to parking public transport facilities.
Sessions cost £50 each and last 50 minutes.
Why counselling & talking therapies?
It can help with
Anxiety
Counselling can help you identify triggers for your anxiety, and to recognise and challenge unhelpful thought patterns. It can support you to develop coping strategies and ultimately, to build resilience. I provide a multi-faceted approach to managing anxiety, helping you gain control over your emotions, reduce distress and improve your overall quality of life.
Coping with life challenges
Grief and loss, as well as stress relating to life changes or challenges can all take their toll and sometimes, we need a safe space and support to work things through and regain balance.
Relationship issues
Often the challenges we face are linked to the relationships in our lives and there are times we could all do with some help navigating separation, improving communication or resolving conflicts.
Trauma
Whether recent or past, counselling can support the process of healing.
Personal growth
Some people seek counselling to support them in making life changes, to improve self-esteem self-awareness, or to explore their purpose and meaning in life.
